About ACCIONA S.A.
Tracing its roots back to 1862 through the historic railway builder MZOV (Compañía de los Caminos de Hierro del Norte y del Mediodía y de Zaragoza a Pamplona y Barcelona) and formalized in 1997 through the merger of Entrecanales y Távora and Cubiertas y MZOV, ACCIONA is a global sustainable infrastructure and renewable energy leader. Headquartered in Madrid, Spain, and listed on the IBEX 35, the company operates across more than 40 countries with over 57,000 employees.
ACCIONA Construcción is a premier builder of complex railway infrastructure, having constructed over 3,000 kilometers of railway track, including more than 1,200 kilometers of high-speed passenger rail lines across Spain, Europe, and Latin America. In Norway, ACCIONA (as part of the AGJV consortium) delivered the civil engineering and mechanized excavation of the 20-kilometer Follo Line (Follobanen) twin tunnels—the longest railway tunnel in the Nordic countries—deploying four concurrent double-shield hard-rock Tunnel Boring Machines (TBMs).
In Asia-Pacific, ACCIONA constructed the 12-kilometer CBD and South East Light Rail in Sydney, Australia, delivering civil works, slab track integration, and heritage zone alignment integration. The group is currently constructing multiple civil and viaduct packages for the Malolos–Clark Railway Project and South Commuter Railway Project in the Philippines. In the Americas, ACCIONA has delivered subterranean transit lines including Quito Metro Line 1 in Ecuador, sections of the São Paulo Metro Line 6 in Brazil, and commuter rail bridge rehabilitation in North America.
