About VINCI Construction
Tracing its industrial lineage back to 1899 through predecessors Giros and Loucheur (SGE), VINCI Construction is the global construction business of the Paris-headquartered concessions and construction giant VINCI. With over 115,000 employees globally, VINCI Construction operates across civil engineering, major infrastructure projects, tunneling, ground engineering (Soletanche Bachy), structural engineering (Freyssinet), and track/catenary rail services (ETF).
VINCI Construction has built landmark railway megaprojects across the globe. In high-speed rail, the company led the design, construction, and concession financing of the Sud Europe Atlantique (LGV Tours–Bordeaux) high-speed line—a 340 km corridor (302 km high-speed line plus 38 km of connecting tracks) delivered on schedule. In the United Kingdom, as a lead partner in the Balfour Beatty VINCI (BBV) joint venture, the group is delivering the extensive central civil section (Lot N1 and N2) for High Speed 2 (HS2), which includes cut-and-cover sections, precast viaducts, and twin-tube mechanized tunnels.
In urban rapid transit, VINCI Construction is one of the largest contractors on Europe’s largest infrastructure project, the Grand Paris Express. The group has excavated dozens of kilometers of bored tunnels and built multiple deep station complexes across Line 14 South, Line 15 South, Line 15 West, and Line 18. Its specialized subsidiaries, such as ETF, provide permanent way installation, ballastless track, and catenary systems, while Soletanche Bachy executes diaphragm walling and deep structural foundations for rail terminals globally.
