About Eurovia Travaux Ferroviaires (VINCI)
Tracing its roots back over a century to 1899 and formally consolidated in 1992, ETF (Eurovia Travaux Ferroviaires) is the specialized railway engineering and construction subsidiary of Eurovia and VINCI Construction—one of the largest concessions and construction concessions groups in the world. Operating as a full-service rail EPC contractor, ETF employs over 2,500 railway specialists across France, wider Europe, the Americas, Africa, and the Middle East.
ETF delivers the complete lifecycle of railway infrastructure: high-speed lines (LGV), conventional ballasted tracks, slab track systems for urban metros and tunnels, switch and crossing (S&C) replacements, 1.5 kV DC / 25 kV AC overhead catenary systems (OCS), substations, railway signaling, and port/industrial siding networks. A key competitive strength is ETF’s proprietary fleet of high-output railway machinery—including “Suite Rapide” industrial renewal trains, high-capacity ballast tamping machines, dynamic track stabilizers, undercutting ballast cleaners, and mobile rail welding plants.
The company has built and renewed thousands of kilometers of high-speed track in Europe, including major sections of the LGV Sud Europe Atlantique (Tours–Bordeaux), LGV Rhin-Rhône, and LGV Est Européenne. In urban mass transit, ETF has delivered extensive trackwork and catenary electrification for the Grand Paris Express (notably Line 15 South, Line 16, and Line 17), light rail tram networks across Paris (T3, T4, T9, T10), Lyon, Bordeaux, and international metros in Cairo and Santiago.
