About AusRAIL 2026
AusRAIL 2026 is the flagship annual conference and exhibition organized by the Australasian Railway Association (ARA), serving as the largest rail industry gathering in the Asia-Pacific region.
Held from 23–25 November 2026 at the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre (BCEC) in Queensland, Australia, the event convenes key decision-makers across passenger rail, freight, heavy haul, civil contractors, rolling stock manufacturers, and engineering consultants. The 2026 program centers on the theme “Building the Network of Tomorrow,” with technical streams dedicated to:
- Digital Rail & Train Control: Deployment of digital signaling (ETCS/CBTC), automation, and AI-driven asset intelligence.
- Sustainability & Decarbonisation: Transitioning to low-carbon infrastructure, alternative traction power, and climate-resilient networks.
- Major Infrastructure Delivery: Case studies on megaprojects (such as Cross River Rail and East Coast High-Speed Rail planning) and civil engineering innovations.
- Industry Capability & Workforce: Addressing engineering skills pipelines, national interoperability standards, and systems safety.
All event profits are reinvested directly by the ARA back into industry advocacy, technical research, and standards development across Australia and New Zealand.
