Construction Package -Abudhabi
The Abu Dhabi Civil & MEP Construction Package forms a major component of the Etihad Rail Abu Dhabi–Dubai High-Speed Rail programme, covering the delivery of high-speed railway infrastructure within the Abu Dhabi section of the corridor.
The package encompasses the design and construction of civil, structural and associated MEP infrastructure required to support the dedicated high-speed railway. The scope includes major railway structures and alignment works, together with tunnels and underground works, viaducts and elevated structures, at-grade sections, shafts, technical facilities, drainage, utilities and associated mechanical, electrical and public-health systems.

The Dubai Construction Package forms the Dubai civil infrastructure component of the Abu Dhabi–Dubai High-Speed Rail programme, supporting the development of a dedicated high-speed railway connecting the two emirates.
The package comprises the design and construction of major railway civil infrastructure within Dubai, including tunnels, shafts, underground and at-grade sections, viaducts, associated structures, technical buildings and interfaces with stations and rail systems. The works are being developed to accommodate the future high-speed railway and its associated track, electrification, signalling, telecommunications, power, ventilation, safety and operational systems.
Project Overview
The **Abu Dhabi–Dubai High-Speed Rail** is a major new high-speed passenger railway being developed by Etihad Rail to provide fast and sustainable connectivity between the UAE’s two largest cities.
The approximately **150 km dedicated electrified railway** is designed for trains operating at speeds of up to **350 km/h**, reducing travel time between Abu Dhabi and Dubai to around **30 minutes**. The route is expected to serve key residential, commercial and transport hubs, including connections to major international airports.
The project will incorporate high-speed rolling stock, advanced signalling and train control, electrification, telecommunications, stations and associated civil infrastructure. It forms a significant part of the UAE’s long-term strategy to strengthen inter-emirate mobility, reduce reliance on road transport and support sustainable economic growth.
Developed by **Etihad Rail**, the high-speed network will complement the UAE’s existing national railway and conventional passenger rail services while operating as a dedicated high-speed system.
